The BT-87-TP-IS is a Bluetooth®-compatible keyboard built to be intrinsically safe for use in hazardous locations. It is Factory Mutual (FM) approved for Class I, II, and III, Division I, Groups C, D, E, F and G. It costs up to 35% less than wired intrinsically safe keyboards and does not require cables or barriers. This fully-sealed keyboard is designed to meet NEMA 4X specifications, meaning it is resistant to dirt, dust, water, ice and corrosives. It has a 30-foot RF range and works with systems in enclosures. The compact design, integrated touchpad and internal Bluetooth® module make the BT-87-TP-IS highly portable. It requires 2 AA batteries and does not require a USB dongle if the host computer has an internal Bluetooth® radio. If the host computer does not have an internal Bluetooth® radio, a separate USB dongle can be purchased for the keyboard to function.
