The latest \u03bcGUARD is a Firewall \/ Router \/ Access Point with long-term availability. The design is optimized for ultra low power consumption, small size (SwaP) and highest flexibility, plus the capability for extended temperature of -40\u00b0 up to +85\u00b0C.<\/p>\n

The new rugged \u03bcGUARD can be expanded with additional 10 ports over the \u03bcMAGBES (managed 10-port switch). The \u03bcGUARD and \u03bcMAGBES add additional reliable and unique products to MPL\u2019s Industrial Network Solutions.<\/p>\n

The \u00b5GUARD comes with features like:
\n\u2022 Wide Input voltage range 8\u201336VDC (others on request);
\n\u2022 3 x 1Gbit Ethernet ports;
\n\u2022 10\/100\/1000 Mbit support;
\n\u2022 Easy integration of 10-port switch (\u03bcMAGBES);
\n\u2022 2 x mPCIe slot;
\n\u2022 1 x M.2 slot with dual SIM support;
\n\u2022 Proven OpenWRT operating system;
\n\u2022 Long-term availability.<\/p>\n

The internal two miniPCIe slots and the M.2 slot allow various extensions (WLAN, GPRS, LTE, mSATA SSD). The \u03bcGUARD is available as OpenFrame on a cooling plate to be mounted in existing housings or cabinets. Fiber can be provided over an additional modul (TX2FX). Alternatively MPL offers a firewall solution with RJ45, M12, or MIL-38999 connectors. The standard operation temperature range is -20\u00b0C to +60\u00b0C and is optionally available in extended temperature of -40\u00b0 up to +85\u00b0C.<\/p>\n

The \u03bcGUARD comes preinstalled with an adapted version of OpenWRT<\/a><\/strong>. This Linux based embedded distribution provides all functionality required for operation as IPV4 and\/or IPV6 firewall and router. The vast amount of additional packages available in conjunction with MPL support, allows to create a solution for every routing or firewall project.<\/p>\n

The rugged \u03bcGUARD is the ideal and most secure solution for all rugged industrial, public transportation, and defense applications, where quality, reliability, ultra low power consumption, and long-term availability are key.<\/p>\n

All MPL products are designed for long-term availability and the \u00b5GUARD will be available for at least 10 years. MPL’s own component stock guarantees repairs for up to 20 years. Extended temperature ranges can be fulfilled and are tested in MPL’s own climatic chambers according customer’s request.<\/p>\n

The \u03bcGUARD is 100% engineered & manufactured by MPL AG in Switzerland and meets or exceeds the most common standards.
