The solution is designed according MPL’s design philosophy which includes flexibility, low power consumption, fanless, extended temperature capability, and long-term availability.

The µMAGBES-MIL is extremely compact, therefore as most compact switch solution, MPL can offer a 10-port switch in an IP67 housing with two 38999 connectors in the size of 130 x 130 x 55 mm. Hence it is the perfect SWaP-C switch solution and can be integrated in smallest space. Other housings and configurations are available, e.g. Individual LAN connector for each port.

The µMAGBES-MIL comes with lockable headers to interface to 38999 connectors, complying with any defense specification. If the solution needs one or more fiber ports, then this can be provided with a standard product available from MPL.

The standard input power requirement of the µMAGBES is 5-36VDC and the device uses less than 6W at full speed with 10 ports operational. Other input voltages can certainly be offered depending on specification. The switch can be operated in an environment of -20°C up to +60°C, and optionally -40°C to +85°C and does not need to be cooled by a fan.

The new µMAGBES is designed to be operated in a Master-Slave configuration, making a flexible system with a cascaded switch easy. The solution is available with up to 28 ports or more, including a Command Line Interface (CLI) option. All ports have status LEDs, showing the activity and speed of each port and are available on an external LED panel. The same applies for the reset switch and the default settings.

The µMAGBES supports features such as (but not limited to):

Configurable via Web Interface (including SSL), Telnet, SNMP (incl. SNMPv3) or RS232/USB (CLI)

Port-based and IEEE 802.1Q VLAN

IEEE 802.1D Rapid Spanning Tree

IEEE 802.1X MAC Address Checking

Quality of Service

Port monitoring & Switch statistics

Firmware Update via HTTP or TFTP

Down-/upload configuration files in XML format

GMPv3 support

PTP support

Flexible rugged Gigabit Switch suitable for any Defense Application The new µMAGBES Family is a up to 28-port manageable Gbit Ethernet switch of the 4th generation MPL switches.
