Lauterbach Supports NXP’s New S32Z and S32E Real-Time Processor Families with TRACE32® Development Tools

Lauterbach, the world’s leading supplier of debug and trace tools, is pleased to announce the addition of NXP® Semiconductors’ new S32Z and S32E real-time processor families to the growing list of processors supported by TRACE32®. It provides an out-of-the-box debug and trace solution for the whole processor, supporting for all cores.

“NXP has extended the S32 Automotive Platform by adding a new class of safe, real-time processors that offer the critical deterministic behavior of safe microcontrollers (MCUs), but with an unparalleled combination of gigahertz speed, multi-application isolation and memory expansion capabilities,” said Brian Carlson, Global Marketing Director for Vehicle Control and Networking Solutions at NXP. “The new 16nm S32Z and S32E real-time processor families are ideal for the safe integration of cross-domain vehicle functions for software-defined vehicles.”

For complex SoC’s running multi-tenancy applications like virtual ECUs, the debug and trace system needs to be aware of the hypervisor and the guest operating systems. Lauterbach’s TRACE32 tools are leading in hypervisor and operating system-aware debugging. Now, supporting NXPs new S32Z and S32E processors, Lauterbach also provides hypervisor awareness for real-time processors.

With our trace-based code coverage analysis, TRACE32 tools help you to qualify your project according to all ASIL-levels. To simplify your tool qualification, we provide the Tool Qualification Support Kit (TQSK) to certify TRACE32 tools according automotive standards like ISO 26262.
